Who reads your chart
KarmaInsight is a Vedic astrology reading service built on classical Jyotish. This page explains what that means in practice: which texts the interpretations come from, how a report is produced and checked, and what we will not claim.
What we do
We produce written interpretations of a natal chart in the classical Jyotish tradition. A reading covers the Lagna and the nine grahas, the yogas actually present in the chart, the current Vimshottari mahadasha and antardasha, and the life themes those combinations describe. It is prose, written to be read start to finish, rather than a score sheet or a list of predictions.
Reports are sold one module at a time — six of them — in any combination you like. There is no compulsory purchase and no subscription required to buy a reading.
The sources we work from
Our editorial standard is that an interpretation should be traceable to a classical source rather than to a house style. The three texts below carry most of that weight.
Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra
The foundational compendium of natal astrology: house significations, planetary dignities, yogas, and the Vimshottari dasha system.
Brihat Jataka
Varahamihira's concise classical treatment of birth-chart judgement, still the standard reference for planetary character and combination.
Phala Deepika
Mantreswara on the results of placements and periods — the text most often consulted for how a combination actually expresses in a life.
How we work
Calculation before interpretation
Positions are computed sidereally on the Lahiri ayanamsa from Swiss Ephemeris data, with whole-sign houses, before any interpretation begins. A reading is only as good as the chart under it, which is why we ask for a birth time to the minute and offer rectification when you do not have one.
Every conclusion shows its work
Each major interpretation in a report carries a "Why this conclusion?" panel naming the planets, yogas, dasha activations and divisional charts it rests on. You are never asked to take a statement on trust, and you can check any of it against the texts yourself.
A person reads the hard charts
Interpretations are verified against the classical sources before delivery. Everything is checked and reviewed by an astrologer.
Guidance, not prophecy
Jyotish describes tendencies and timing, not fixed outcomes. Nothing in a report is medical, legal, or financial advice, and we do not sell remedies that promise to control an outcome or another person.
What we keep, and what we do not
A reading needs your birth date, time and place, and an email address to reach you at. We keep those, your order record, and the report itself, and nothing else — no behavioural tracking, no profile built across visits, and no birth data attached to anyone who never completed a purchase. Your reading lives in your account rather than in an inbox, so it has an owner and can be taken down with it. The full detail is in the privacy policy.
Getting in touch
Questions about a reading, a refund, or delivery go to our contact form, which is answered by a person within one business day. The scope and limits of what a reading is are set out on the disclaimer page, and the refund terms on the refund policy.
